WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

At CXBJJ Championships, we want every competitor, coach, and spectator to feel fully prepared for event day. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about registration, weigh-ins, brackets, schedules, and awards. This section is designed to provide clear, easy-to-follow details so you can focus on what matters most: competing, coaching, and supporting the athletes.

Registration and Fees

We keep our pricing simple, with discounts for early registration.

Early Registration: $55 per division | Free open class | $10 spectator fee
Regular Registration: $65 per division | Free open class | $10 spectator fee
Final Registration (4 days prior): $75 per division | Free open class | $10 spectator fee
Spectator tickets are non-refundable but can be used for any future event.

Weigh-ins

All weigh-ins take place on event day. Competitors must plan ahead and arrive during the designated weigh-in period unless prior notice is given.

Competitors must complete weigh-ins during the official weigh-in period.
If you are running late, you must contact event staff before the weigh-in period closes. Failure to notify will result in disqualification, with no refund or voucher issued.
Competitors weigh in with Gi for Gi divisions or in competition attire for No-Gi divisions.
If you weigh in wearing a Gi, that weigh-in will also count for your No-Gi division.
Only one weigh-in required, even if competing in multiple divisions.
All failures to make weight are subject to disqualification. Efforts will be made to rebracket when possible, but if the competitor is grossly outside their registered division, they will be disqualified.
Ages 12+: Disqualification if no suitable rebracket is available. No refunds or vouchers.
Ages 11 and under: Efforts will be made to rebracket; if no matches are available, a voucher will be issued.

Competitor Information

We make it easy to access brackets, schedules, and competitor lists in real time. Please note that brackets and schedules are subject to change after posting due to division changes or cancellations.

Brackets and schedules are posted the Thursday before the event under Brackets & Schedule.
Real-time match order available on event monitors and mobile devices.
Competitors must be in the bullpen 15 minutes before match time.
Youth matches may be delayed or adjusted to ensure a coach is available. Adult matches will proceed as scheduled without delay.
A minimum of 5 minutes rest will be provided between matches, in accordance with competition standards.

Coaches' Passes

We provide free passes for coaches based on team size.

3–10 competitors: 2 passes
11–15 competitors: 3 passes
16–20 competitors: 4 passes
21+ competitors: 5 passes
One coach per competitor allowed in the competition area.

Awards

We take pride in recognizing both teams and individual athletes.

Team Awards: Custom trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in Youth, Adult, and Overall.
Best Overall Team: Custom team trophy (1 per team per event).
Individual Awards: Gold, silver, and bronze custom medals for 1st–3rd.
Awards may vary per event at the discretion of CXBJJ Championships.
